December 2021 Newsletter

Friends,

Do you know how a talking calculator works?

The results speak for themselves.

This week is the last week of AEP as it ends on December 7, 2021.  So any changes to a drug plan or a Medicare Advantage plan needs to be done by next Tuesday, December 7.

Medicare Supplements can be changed until the end of the year for January 1, 2022 effective date.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and joyous holiday season.

Kind Regards,
Michael Antonini

What’s New

Medicare Part B Premiums

You heard about the large increase in the Medicare Part B premium to $170.10 a month in 2022.
You also saw a ton of TV commercials recently about how you can get money back in Social Security and all of these other things for “Free,” per Joe Namath.
It’s not exactly true.

In fact, we are not even allowed to say that anything is free. I say things like $0 premium, $0 co-pay as in zero dollars; not the illegal "F word." However, there is the Medicare Savings Program in CT. This program does offer state assistance to those with low incomes and I help people with this all the time. If you qualify, I can help you apply and in some cases you might be able to get $170.10 a month added back to your social security check. It’s TRUE. Here is a link to the State Program.

I can also help you with the application if you would like.

Important Dates
