State Resources

Did you know the state of Connecticut offers financial assistance to eligible Medicare enrollees through its ‘Medicare Savings Programs’?

These programs may help pay Medicare Part B premiums, deductibles, and co-insurance.

Do you have these cards?

Depending on your income, the Connecticut Department of Social Services may pay your Medicare Part B each month. In addition, some enrollees will be covered for Medicare deductibles and co-insurance. These Medicare Savings Programs are funded by Medicaid.

I would be happy to help see if you qualify (this is a no charge service as my goal is to help you get the coverage you need).

To begin, please click the button below to download the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services Application for Medicare Savings Programs (QMB, SLMB, ALMB).

Once downloaded, please print & complete the worksheet, and give me a call at 203-521-9671. I would be happy to discuss which programs you may qualify for and assist with next steps in the application process.

I also created a video that explains more about the QMB form. Click here to watch.

IRMAA (Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount) Information

IRMAA is an additional charge for high-earners who fall within one of the income brackets shown here, based on your income from 2 years prior (2020). The IRMAA SSA-44 form has to be filled out to appeal your IRMAA decision.

For more information about IRMAA, click here to watch a video I created or give me a call at 203-521-9671.
