Last year, I was able to keep all of my New Year’s resolutions …
…tucked away in a journal on my bookshelf.
If you didn’t get a chance to change your Medicare Advantage plan during the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) last fall, then I have good news for you.
The Medicare Open Enrollment Period (OEP) runs from January 1, 2024 to March 31, 2024. You can make one change during this time to a different Medicare Advantage Plan or switch to Original Medicare with a stand alone drug plan.
If you or a friend needs a nice 2024 magnetic calendar, please let me know your address and I’ll mail you or a friend one.

What’s New
1) Your newest statement from Social Security should reflect a 3.2% Cost Of Living Adjustment (COLA) and it should indicate a Medicare premium of $174.70 per month for most beneficiaries.
2) If you are low income, you might be having the state help pay your premium through the Medicare Savings Program. If you would like more information on if you might qualify, please do not hesitate to ask me. Single income under $2,564/ month, Couple under $3.468/month.
3) If you had high income in 2022 (single over $103,000 or married over $206,000) you might be subject to and Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA) in 2024. I might be able to help with those additional premiums using form SSA -44.

Important Dates
January 1, 2024 to March 31, 2024.:Open Enrollment Period (OEP). You can change your Medicare Advantage plan to a different Medicare Advantage Plan or switch to Original Medicare and join a separate Prescription Drug Plan once during this time. Any changes you make will be effective the first of the month after the plan gets your request.
